Hey, I'm Shaandiin Powell—a queer, biracial multimedia artist and graphic designer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a self proclaimed “West Coast Nomad”, I have been able to utilize my personal experiences as a profound source of inspiration for the work I create today.
I started university initially focusing on Pre-law and Psychology at Washington State University. However, during that time I discovered my true passion for crafting new experiences through art. Embracing this newfound path, I embarked on a fulfilling educational journey, earning a BFA in Graphic Design, along with two AA degrees in Printmaking and Psychology at the University of Utah. My diverse background truly enriches my artistic approach, allowing me to embrace whatever creative challenges come my way. Each experience adds a unique hue to my artistic palette, enhancing the love i put into every creation. As a biracial individual, I've experienced the tensions of navigating and reconciling my identities, and that profound journey echoes in my artistry. I've embraced the realization that my diverse abilities intertwine to produce the work I do, unveiling a symphony of creativity and self-discovery.
My ultimate mission as an artist is to forge connections—between my cherished clients, my beloved audience, and the wider collective. Through my art, I celebrate the inherent beauty of our wonderfully messy internal and external worlds, leaving a trail of inspiration and empowerment in its wake.

Thank you!
